Moiz I. Manaqib, MD, FAAOS<\/h2>\n

Dr. Moiz I. Manaqib is a leader in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at the premiere orthopaedic surgery practice in Long Island, NY. After over a decade of practice between the Orlin and Cohen Orthopaedic Surgery specialty group and the Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, Dr. Manaqib has seen over 50,000 patient visits and performed thousands of surgeries. He has extensive experience treating complex sports injuries and orthopaedic trauma, in addition to common degenerative conditions. Dr. Manaqib strives to employ the most current and state of the art techniques to optimize patient outcomes and recovery. He prides himself on patient education and a thorough discussion regarding surgical and nonsurgical indications. In many cases he will discuss and employ regenerative medicine techniques including stem cell related therapies to avoid the need for more involved surgical management and prolonged rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

Over many years, Dr. Manaqib has had the privilege of treating athletes of various backgrounds including professionals in American football and basketball, professional soccer players from Europe, MMA fighters, top high school and Division I-III collegiate level athletes, as well as the everyday weekend warrior.<\/p>\n

In addition to Dr. Manaqib\u2019s sports and general orthopaedic practice, he has developed a personal and professional passion for the treatment of the condition known as Avascular Necrosis or Osteonecrosis. This is a condition which can have various causes but can certainly be devastating for young adults as it often leads to a quick progressive decline of their joints and need for premature total joint arthroplasty. This condition can affect any bone in the body, but it is most commonly seen in the hip, knee, shoulder and ankle. Dr. Manaqib uses some of the latest surgical and nonsurgical techniques to treat this pathology and is researching ways to advance treatment towards a cure for the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
